Infrastructure developer GVK Power & Infrastructure (GVKPIL) today posted a 76.46% increase in net profit for the June quarter at Rs 58.92 crore as against Rs 33.39 crore in the same period last year.
Net sales for the period stood at Rs 632.36 crore, a 27.12% rise over Rs 497.45 crore year-on-year.
During the quarter, the Hyderabad-based company's three gas-based projects -- the 464mw Gautami Power, the 235mw phase-I and 220-mw phase-II projects of GVK Industries -- recorded a total revenue of Rs 565.13 crore.
However, they were not able to operate at full capacity due to restricted supply of gas, a statement issued by the company here said.
The company's airport projects, including those at Mumbai and Bangalore posted a growth of 19.83% and 17.16%, respectively, in revenues for the quarter.
The Jaipur expressway project recorded an increase of 14.21% in the revenue, the release said.
