Haier eyes 43% growth in 2013

The company has launched 79 products across 6 segments to consolidate position in Indian market

Home appliances and consumer electronics company Haier Indian aims to grow by 43% this year.

"In 2013, we aim to grow by 43% on year-on-year basis. Building on our global success, we have launched 79 products across 6 segments as we move towards consolidating our position in the Indian market," Haier India President Eric Braganza said in a statement here.

The India arm of the company scaled a growth of 36% in 2012.

We would be focusing on maintaining top-notch standard of service and value added products in line with our brand strategy. We aim to reach a wider audience and cater to different markets with this new line-up of products," Braganza said.
 

He said Haier India would also be expanding its manufacturing plant at Ranjangaon near Pune to match its supplies and demand in markets.

The company has launched 79 products across six segments of consumer durables which include air conditioners, water heaters, refrigerators, consumer electronics, water heaters and commercial freezers.

Haier India is 100% subsidiary of Haier Group, which started its commercial operations in January 2004.

The company has its marketing and sales network in 168 countries around the world, and in 2008, the group turnover aggregated $ 20.7 billion. The product range comprises of over 15,100 models in 96 categories.
