HAL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Transparency International India (TII) for adoption of Integrity Pact (IP).
"Considering that HAL deals with a number of domestic and international business partners for goods and services, the MoU will go a long way in establishing higher standards in our operations", said HAL Chairman R K Tyagi.
The MoU was signed by Tyagi and Justice Kamleshwar Nath, Chairman, TII, at New Delhi yesterday, said a release from the defence PSU, which has so far signed "Integrity Pact" with 115 vendors (85 foreign and 30 Indian).

"Integrity Pact" is a tool developed to ensure that all activities and transactions between companies or Government departments and their suppliers are handled in a fair and transparent manner.
TII will support HAL by providing advice and resources to implement the Integrity Pact programme successfully.
HAL is the first defence PSU to sign such an MoU with TII, the statement said.
