A day after Cognizant posted its second quarter results, raising its annual forecast and reporting an attrition rate of 31 per cent, Rajesh Nambiar, President-Digital Business & Technology and Chairman, India at Cognizant, spoke about the reasons for the high number and why the company is confident it will be able to deliver growth in the coming quarters.

Q: Your quarterly annualised voluntary attrition was 31 per cent in Q2. Though Cognizant did flag this in the last quarter, how is it thinking about this level of attrition and what are your plans to mitigate it?

A: The
