Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director, Reliance Industries (RIL) said that all Reliance Jio's new users will get free voice calls and data from December 4 to 31 March 2017 as part of the company's new year offer.
He also said that Jio is the fastest technology in the world. This is his first such appearance outside the company’s annual general meeting.

Addressing the company’s stakeholders on Thursday through a live broadcast over the firm’s social media channels, he said, "In the last three months, Reliance Jio has grown faster than Whatsapp, Facebook and Skype".
Ambani took this day to congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the 'bold' and 'historic' decision to demonetize old currency.
"By doing this, our prime minister has given the strongest push to growth of digitally-enabled, optimal-cash economy in India", he said.
Mukesh Ambani said that digitally-enabling transactions will boost economic growth, while bringing unprecedented transparency and accountability.

Starting 4 December 2016, every new Jio user will get Jio’s Data, Voice, Video and the full bouquet of Jio applications absolutely FREE, till 31 March 2017. All existing Jio customers will get extended benefits of Jio Happy New Year offer till 31 March 2017 on current SIMs. In this period Jio customers will also be able to test-drive digital recharge, billing experience, using JioMoney wallet.
Under Jio Happy New Year Offer, customers will get 30 times the average usage on other networks free till 31 March 2017.
