Audio and infotainment products maker Harman International Industries today said it is eyeing a turnover of $250 million from its operations in India over the next five years.
"China and India are our focussed area and in the next five years, our revenues from Indian should be around $250 million while earnings from China would be $1 billion," Harman International Chairman President and CEO Dinesh C Paliwal told reporters here.
He said the company is in talks with automobile manufactures to sell its automotive audio systems in India.
"We are excited further to strengthen our presence in Asia...Despite a tough global economic climate, we will continue to make the strategic investments in technology and market expansions," Paliwal said.
Asked about the company's plans in India, he said Harman is not only eyeing the domestic automobile segment, which includes high and mid segment passenger vehicles but also other entertainment space such as live concerts and performances, cinema hall and other outdoor performance audio equipment.
The company also expects to equip a number of key venues at 2010 commonwealth schedule to held in Delhi.
