Founded in 1992, Jyothi Dairy currently has a turnover of around Rs 100 crore. It has operations across Andhra Pradesh with facilities in Hyderabad and Chittoor, and milk collection centres at 10 different locations in the state.
“It (acquisition) will help us in expanding our business operations in Andhra Pradesh,” RG Chandramogan, managing director of HAPL, said in a press release on Wednesday.
Confirming the development, T Bajaji, managing director of Jyothi Dairy, said the experience of HAPL would help in expansion and better utilisation of the existing infrastructure.
The deal is closed and the exact details are expected to be released by the first week of November, he added.
Hatsun Agro Product, which has dairies in 10 locations, exports dairy products to 38 countries. It has various products like Arun Ice Cream, Ibaco Store, Arokya Milk and Hatsun Dairy Products.
