Hatsun Agro Q4 net jumps more than two-fold

The total income from operations increased by 29% at Rs 433 cr

Leading dairy firm Hatsun Agro Products today reported more than two-fold jump in net profit at Rs 2.82 crore for the quarter ended March 31 as against Rs 1.36 crore in the year-ago period.

The total income from operations increased by 29% at Rs 433.81 crore in the fourth quarter of 2011-12 against Rs 336.89 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal, the Chennai-based company said in a filing to the BSE.

In the entire 2011-12 fiscal, the net profit increased to Rs 26.60 crore from Rs 18.74 crore in the previous fiscal.    

The total income from operations rose to Rs 1,603.53 crore during last fiscal from Rs 1,355.73 crore in 2010-11.

The board, at its meeting held today, recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.20 per share (20%) on the face value of Re 1 per equity share, the filing added.
