Havells India Q3 net up 3.71% at Rs 61 cr

Electrical equipment maker Havells India today reported 3.71 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 61.12 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 58.93 crore in the same period last fiscal, Havells India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Net sales during the third quarter this fiscal stood at Rs 722.14 crore, as against Rs 590.81 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, up 22.22 per cent.

During the quarter, raw material consumption cost increased to Rs 374.37 crore from Rs 314.69 crore in the same period a year ago, it added.

 

Scrips of Havells India were trading at Rs 338.45 per share on the BSE during the afternoon trade, down 4.51 percent from the previous close.
