HCC bags irrigation project worth over Rs 600 crore

Mumbai based Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has bagged an irrigation project in the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh worth Rs 629.33 crore, according to the information provided by the company to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The total worth of the order is Rs 1398.50 and HCC is in a joint venture for this with another engineering firm and a Czech firm CKD Blansko Engineering.

The project is part of the Phase III of the J Chokka Rao Devadula Lift irrigation Scheme. HCC got the award of the contract from Irrigation and Command Area Development of the Andhra Pradesh Government.

 

The contract covers infrastructure requirements for carrying of 49.60 cumecs of water from intake pump and will irrigate 3.43 lakh acres in the Warangal District of Telangana region. The project completion line is of 36 calendar months.
