HCC bags Rs 229 cr Gosikhurd Hydel power project

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today said it has bagged Rs 228.79 crore contract from Vidharbh Irrigation Development Corporation for infrastructure related works.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange HCC said it has secured the Rs 228.79 crore Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for 4x6 Mw Gosikhurd Hydel power project near Nagpur.

Under the contract, HCC would undertake infrastructure related works comprising supply, installation and commissioning of all electromechanical plant and machinery.

The project will be completed in 36 months followed by operation and maintenance for 24 months, the company said.

"The Gosikhurd Hydel Scheme further demonstrates our EPC expertise in the hydel power development sector," HCC President and Chief Operating Officer Vinayak Deshpande said.

 

The state-based engineering and construction is currently executing nine hydro-electric power projects, including four in Jammu & Kashmir, two in Himachal Pradesh and one each in Uttarakhand, Sikkim and West Bengal.

Shares of HCC closed at Rs 115.15, down 4.40 per cent on the BSE.
