HCC Q1 net up 72%

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has reported a 72% rise in net profit at Rs 22.66 crore for the first quarter ended june 30, 2005 as against Rs 13.20 crore in Q1FY05.

Net sales for the reporting quarter rose 26% to Rs 479.43 crore from Rs 380 crore in April-June 2004, the company said in a release today.

The order book position, as on June 30, 2005, stood at Rs 5,301 crore, the release added.
