Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), has bagged a contract worth Rs 300 crore from Gurgaon-based Lanco Infratech, for execution of all civil works for Teesta Hydroelectric Project, stage VI.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>Teesta Hydroelectric project is the first to be taken up in a six stage plan to harness 3635 MW of hydropower, within 175 kms of the river Teesta in Sikkim. The project is spread over three districts of Sikkim (East, North and South), with most of the land from East District.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The period of completion for the project is 44 months.<BR></P>
