HCL Great Britain has been chosen as one of the top information and communication technology (ICT) employers in the UK by Corporate Research Foundation (CRF).

According to a release issued by HCL Technologies to the BSE today, Top ICT employers in the UK is an insightful guide published by CRF in close association with Computing Magazine, and endorsed by the British Computer Society (BCS), the National Computing Centre (NCC) and the trade association Intellect.

"HCL Great Britain has been ranked along side leading ICT companies such as Tesco and Nokia. HCL Great Britain was selected on the basis of its innovation, progress in delivering competitive pay and benefits, active development and promotion of staff, the availability of training and company culture," the release added.

HCL Great Britain is a subsidiary of the HCL Technolgies and a part off HCL Enterprise, the release added.

Rajeev Sawhney, corporate vice president, HCL and head Of European operations, said: "HCL has experienced incredible growth within the UK. This has been highlighted by the 600 new jobs created at our Apollo contact centre in Belfast - making us the largest contact centre operation in Ireland. In an industry with traditionally high labour turnover rates, taking care of our staff and developing innovative recruitment and retention systems is paramount to providing quality services and ensuring our success. Our inclusion in the CRF guide is a validation of these policies."
