HCL Info net up 19%

HCL Infosystems Ltd today reported a 19.38 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 29.75 crore during the first quarter of the current financial year, compared with Rs 24.92 crore during July-September last year. (The company follows a july-june financial year).
 
The company's income grew 25.36 per cent to Rs 486.96 crore during July-September 2005, compared with Rs 388.42 during the quarter-ended September 2004, HCL Infosystems informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. The board proposed an interim dividend of Rs 2 per fully paid up equity share of Rs 2 each for the financial year 2005-2006.
 
Consolidated net profit rose 44 per cent to Rs 62.12 crore during the first quarter of the year. HCL Infosystems also approved the merger of product distribution and support business of its subsidiary with itself. The merger would be subject to the required clearances.
