HCL Info to pay 70% dividend; Q2 net up 14%

HCL Infosystems has reported a 14% increase in net profit at Rs 34.12 crore for the second quarter ended December 31, 2004 as against Rs 30.04 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2003.

According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 506.99 crore from Rs 348.62 crore in Q2FY04.

The group has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 60.10 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 when compared with Rs 41.43 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2003. Total income increased from Rs 1,017.98 crore in Q2FY04 to Rs 2,001.09 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004.

The board has approved the payment of 70%, 2nd interim (quarterly) dividend for FY05, the release added.
