HCL Infosystems Ltd, India's premier information enabling and a system integration company, launched its new range of notebook computers featuring the revolutionary Embedded Control and Continuity (EC2) technology in Lucknow.

Known as the 'HCL Non Stop Series', the new EC2- enabled notebooks are self-healing computers that are able to recover all data in less than a minute, in case of a system crash or accidental loss of data by the user.

"North India is one of our key markets which constitute about 15 per cent of the company's turnover. Research has suggested that 95 per cent of all problems with PCs are software related. HCL is therefore glad to introduce 'Non Stop Series' providing tremendous value addition to the buyers in form of safety measures," George Paul, executive vice-president, marketing, HCL Infosystems Ltd told Business Standard.

The notebooks are priced between Rs 27,990 and Rs 100,000. The new technology offers a series of embedded security systems.
