HCL Q4 net at Rs 91.34 cr

Hindustan Copper has recorded a net profit of Rs 91.34 crore in the three months ended March 31, 2010 against Rs 3.78 crore in the same period last year, on the back of higher copper prices and production. Net sales increased 19 per cent to Rs 409.76 crore. The average price during the quarter was $7,232 a tonne.

For the year ended March 31, 2010, net profit was at Rs 154.68 crore, against a net loss Rs 10.31 crore in the same period last year. Net sales increased 9.61 per cent to Rs 1,304.52 crore. The average copper price during the year was $6101 a tonne compared to $5863 in the previous year.
