HCL Tech, NDTV & HT Media Q3 results

HCL Tech net up 16% to Rs 333 cr
 
Driven by volume growth in the US and Asia-Pacific region and higher billing, HCL Technologies reported a 16.3 per cent rise in net income at Rs 332.9 crore for the second quarter ending 31 December, 2007, as compared with Rs 286.2 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.
 
Revenues stood at Rs 1,816.6 crore - up 24 per cent - from Rs 1465.1 crore. On a sequential (quarter-on-quarter) basis, the company recorded a 7.9 per cent growth in net income from Rs 308.4 crore.
 
Meanwhile, HCL also reported a 6.3 per cent q-o-q growth in revenues from Rs 1,709.2 crore in the previous quarter.
 
NDTV Q3 net flat
 
Delhi-based news broadcaster NDTV posted a nominal rise in net profit at Rs 7.07 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, as compared with Rs 7.06 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year. Total income rose 32.5 per cent to Rs 89.47 crore from Rs 67.53 crore.
 
HT Media net profit rises 9.8%
 
HT Media, the publisher of Hindustan Times, has posted a net profit of Rs 36.86 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, up 9.80 per cent from Rs 33.57 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. During the quarter the company's total income rose 13.10 per cent to Rs 36.86 crore from Rs 33.57 crore in the FY07 quarter.
