HCL Technologies has seen a 35% year-on-year growth in its Brazil operations in the last two years and has also added significantly to the customer base over this period. During the past two years the company has also increased its headcount by about 50% in Brazil.
HCL is seeing increasing demand from its global customers headquartered in North America, as well as in Europe and Asia to support their Latin America (LATAM) delivery operations from its Brazil centers, the company said in a press release on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company, which has recently completed four years of its operations in Brazil, has two global delivery centres in Sao Paulo and Sao Leopoldo. These two centres can accommodate up to 450 IT professionals. From its hub in Brazil, HCL continues to serve clients there, as well as in Mexico, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Chile, the press release said.
“For HCL, Latin America is a strategic place to conduct, transact and grow business; it is not merely a services delivery location,” said Shami Khorana, President, HCL Americas. “We are encouraged by the favorable economic conditions in the region and the continued demand for delivery of our near shore services delivered across LATAM. As a result, there remains a tremendous opportunity for HCL to continue to deliver total IT outsourcing solutions to the growing portfolio of local and global corporations headquartered here and doing business throughout the region.”
Shares of HCL Technologies were down 0.28% at Rs 774.6, on the BSE.
