HDFC Q1 net up 20%

Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) today reported a 20% increase in net profit at Rs 296.82 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006 when compared with Rs 247.28 crore in Q1FY06.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 1,248.53 crore from Rs 934.76 crore in Q1FY06.
