Health Partnership Needed : Sinha

Union health minister Shatrughan Sinha has asked the corporate and private sector to take initiatives to improve healthcare facilities in the country and has offered all possible help from government in this endeavour.

"Initiative from the corporate and private sector is very essential as government alone cannot do everything," Sinha said at the inaugural function of 'Endotheme 2002', a three-day international conference on gastroenterological endoscopy at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre in Pune. His speech was circulated in Delhi today.

Maharashtra health minister Digvijay Khanvilkar highlighted steps taken by the state government to implement ban on gutka.Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar also spoke on the occasion.
