While Agra is still to witness its first shopping mall, the nearby town of Mathura has gone ahead by a significant margin with the first shopping mall of the town to be inaugurated on the Agra-Delhi National Highway on May 1. |
Talking to Business Standard today, Sudip Agarwal, managing director, Sri Group of Builders, said "Highway Plaza" would be inaugurated by actress Hema Malini. |
He said the inauguration fest would last a week with a long list of discount offers being presented to the buyers during this fest, including a "Shop & Win" offer worth Rs 1 lakh. |
Agarwal said Highway Plaza would ease the toll-tax worries of the highway commuters with a unique scheme "toll-tax refund", being launched at the mall during the opening week. |
In the scheme, the commuters will receive a free-voucher on showing the toll ticket at the plaza counter, which can be redeemed at any store in the plaza. |
He said the location of the plaza on the Agra-Delhi national highway would benefit the retail traders, jewellers and food chain owners of Mathura, Agra and Delhi, who would get an opportunity to sell their wares in a secure, dust-free and attractive shopping environment outfitted with international accessories like escalators and automatic doors that have never been seen in Mathura. |
Established in 1931, the multicrore Sri Group of Builders has created a unique identity in the real estate market of Mathura and Agra, developing residential complexes and townships in these towns. |
