Hero Honda banks on 100cc bikes to fuel growth

 The company's strategy is diametrically opposite to rival Bajaj Auto, which plans to exit from the 100cc segment.

"Every company has its own strategy and we have our own and we cannot be commenting on what others are doing," he said when asked if shrinking margins on lower-capacity bikes would make Hero Honda to think on similar lines.

"The new bike, Splendor NXG, which we launched today, is a case in point of our commitment to the 100cc segment," he added.

Hero Honda rolled out 'Splendor NXG' in the deluxe segment with two variants of spoke and cast wheels carrying a price tag of Rs 40,990 and Rs 41,990 (ex-showroom Delhi).
