Hero Honda net up 53% q-o-q

World's largest two- wheeler maker, Hero Honda posted a rise of  53 per cent in the net profit at Rs 298.70 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.

The company had recorded net profit of Rs 195 crore during the same period a year ago.

Net income for the quarter grew 5.94 per cent at Rs 2,843.79 crore as against Rs 2,684.09 crore recorded during the same quarter of the earlier year.
