The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero Honda today reported a 4.16 per cent jump in its sales at 4,01,290 units in September compared to sales in the same month last year.
The company had sold 3,85,262 units in September last year.
For the second consecutive time, the company has recorded more than 4 lakh despatch sales in a single month, Hero Honda Motors said in a statement.
During July-September quarter, the company witnessed an increase of 21.7 per cent in its sales at 11,83,235 units over the same period last year.
"We have been successfully able to leverage the festive season demand, which is spread over two months this year, to post unprecedented sales in this quarter," Hero Honda Motors Senior vice-president (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.
The company is expecting its retail sales in the festive season to surpass 6 lakh units mark that it had achieved last year, he added.
