Hero Honda September sales jump 8%

The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero Honda today reported a jump of 8.06 per cent in sales in September at 4,33,641 units.

The company had sold 4,01,290 units in the corresponding month last year, Hero Honda said in a statement.

Besides, for the 5th consecutive time, the company has recorded more than 4 lakh dispatch sales in a single month.

During July-September period, the company posted its highest ever three-monthly figures at 12,85,944 units, registering 8.68 per cent jump over 11,83,235 units in the year-ago period, the statement said.

"The record sale in H1 of FY11 is extremely encouraging as it has set the pace for the second half of this financial year," Hero Honda Motors Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.

 

The company will launch some new models or variants in the coming days, targeting the festive season.

"With these slew of launches, high-decibel communication and activation, we are confident of doubling our pace of growth during the festive season," Dua said.
