Hexaware Q1 net up 27%

Hexaware Technologies, a global IT service provider, has posted a 27 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 10.29 crore for the first quarter ended March 31, 2005, compared with Rs 8.04 crore in the same quarter of last year.
 
Total income rose from Rs 58.80 crore in the first quarter of 2004 to Rs 78.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, an increase of 33.12 per cent.
 
On a consolidated basis, the group posted a 101.6 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 23.23 crore compared with Rs 11.52 crore in the first quarter ended March 2004.
 
Total revenue rose 43.4 per cent to Rs 164.05 crore (Rs 114.37 crore). Basic earnings per share at the end of the quarter period stood at Rs 9.92 (Rs 5.08).
 
"The success of our focus on domain knowledge in BFSI and airlines is reflected in the new order book of $22.3 million and $9.7 million respectively," executive chairman Atul Nishar said.
