HiLite plans Rs 600-cr integrated township at Kozhikode

To cater to the growing demand for worldclass living experience in Kerala, HiLite Builders is coming up with an integrated township project, HiLite City, with a mall as its centre of attraction in Kozhikode. The project will be completed in 2013.

Addressing a press conference here, company CMD P Sulaiman said the total project cost was estimated to be Rs 600 crore, of which Rs 350 crore would be spent on the mall.

The mall would introduce some of worldclass retail, lifestyle chains like Spar, Cinepolis and Amoeba for the first time in Kerala.

Mall culture is catching up in Kerala with Kozhikode emerging as the leader having Focus Mall, the first shopping mall in Kerala.

 

HiLite City is being designed as the first-of-its-kind integrated township in the state spread over 15.6 acres. The project comprises residential (400 luxury apartments), commercial (1 million sft) and retail spaces (1 million sft).

On completion, HiLite mall would have retail and entertainment spaces that include 60,000 sft hypermarket, 50,000 sft department store, 35,000 sft gaming zone and indoor fun area.

The mall, located on the NH Thondayad bypass, would have a total built-up area of one million sft with 200-odd branded retail outlets, three-star business hotel, eight screen multiplex, food courts and a convention/expo hall, he said. HiLite Builders Private Ltd has built eight proejcts with an investment of Rs 250 crore.
