Herbal health and personal care company Himalaya Drug will expand its exclusive store footprint in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to showcase the complete range of its products.

At present, the company has nine exclusive stores in the two states, which would be ramped up to 15 in the current financial year, Himalaya regional sales manager (consumer product) Jasminder Singh told Business Standard.

“We will soon open stores in Allahabad, Kanpur and other major towns in the region,” he said adding Himalaya was a leading retailer in the country and it planned on penetrating to more tier II towns.

Pan-India, the company has about 130 exclusive stores, mostly company owned. Besides, Himalaya has 2,000 odd shop-in-shop concepts and a retailer network of 40,000 in the northern region.

The company launched its maiden company owned store in Lucknow for its various products lines numbering 200.

The exclusive store is electronically linked to a CRM cell, where customer queries can be answered by the doctors.
