Himalaya Intl, US co ink deal for developing products

FMCG player Himalya International today said it has signed a deal with US-based firm 'Preffered Vegetarian' for developing food products.     

"Board of the company sealed the technical collaboration with Preffered Vegetarian Inc'," Himalya International said in a statement.     

The company said, the New York-based consultant has assisted Himalya in developing low fat, vitamin fortified, Real fruit Yogurts, with a six week shelf life (time period for which a product can be used).     

"The higher shelf life will enable Himalya to distribute this new product in all regions of the country (India)," it added.     

The company said the new product will be launched in the National Capital Region (NCR) on November 15.     

 

Besides, the company said the US-based company will develop various dairy and non-dairy, long shelf life products for it.     

The company has also got the approval of US authorities for launching 12 products their.     

"...Board approved the launch of 12 products identified by US marketing team," the company said without providing the details.
