Food processing company Himalya International on Friday said it has shut down its Gujarat unit after a fire incident in the plant. "There was a fire in Himalya's Gujarat plant which was controlled by 3 fire tenders There was no injury to any one," the company said in a BSE filing. The Vadnagar plant "has been shut down and damage is being assessed", it said. Himalya International manufactures and sells mushrooms, vegetables, cheese, yogurt, appetisers, snacks, and sweets, as well as baby potatoes and buffalo cheese. Shares of the company fell by 2.28 per cent to settle at Rs 23.60 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
