BSE listed Himachal-based Agri export oriented unit, Himalya International is set to enter the New Delhi, NCR and north Indian markets in next month with its full range of 100 per cent natural milk based products and ethnic indian sweets, while the company will launch its products in domestic market at national level by year-end, announced its Managing Director Manmohan Malik today .
He said he expected the domestic sales to touch Rs 25 crore during current financial year and has set up target to achieve Rs 100 crore sales during next two years.
Company has identified a few of its products for launch in domestic market. The focus products are: All Natural’ Fresh Mushrooms made from imported spawn, Vitamin D fortified, zero fat & Home-style full fat, yoghurts & Paneer and is also bringing a new range of Breaded Mushroom Appetizers for the first time in India.
"We will launch the same, premium ‘All natural’ sweets that we market in North America and are packed in our HACCP / ISO certified plant and our products are good value for the Indian consumer too, said Manmohan Malik.
He told that the test marketing of its products has been quite successful in Indian markets and it has received enthusiastic response from the consumers based on ‘Top Quality at Good Value’ and added that company has also test launch its packaged ‘Himalya Fresh’ sweets made from premium quality milk at Bharti-Walmart stores in Punjab.
He told that the company has been in the America and Canada markets with these products for over a decade time and has decided to launch its natural products like Himalya yogurts, fresh paneer, Italian cheese, breaded appetizers, mushroom range, packaged Himalayan ethnic sweets like kaju burfi, milk cake, panjeeri ladoo, kesar badam in Indian markets.
"We are extremely price-competitive and all our products will have no preservatives, no addictives," he said.

He further added that the international quality products are priced as affordably as Chinese products so as to cater the needs of middle and upper middle class customers.
"The company has signed two separate agreements with Bharti-Wal-Mart and the US retail giant Wal-Mart for selling its product and undertake cash-and-carry operations in a wide range of products at wholesale prices," Malik said.
While Bharti-Wal-Mart will handle the retail business through their mini, major and mega format stores, Wal-Mart will look after business-to-business operations including supply-to-retail, grocery set-ups, hotels, restaurants and other catering joints. The company has tied up with retail chains like Reliance, More, Metro Cash & Carry, Home stores, Subka Bazaar, etc for sales of its products, Manmohan Malik added.
The company has set up distribution network in major cities in North India, down south and Maharashtra and the remaining areas will be covered soon. The company has appointed distributors in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala while the company is looking for business partners in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and added that entire process would be completed by end of the year.
It is currently focusing its coverage on north Indian market, but there are plans to expand within the next nine months to other metropolitian cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad.
