Hind Lever To Retain Oral Care Business

As parent sells global rights to Church & Dwight

Consumer products giant Hindustan Lever (HLL) will retain its oral hygiene business even though parent Unilever is disposing its toothpaste brands in the US and Canada to Church & Dwight.

HLL is a number two player in the Indian oral care market, trailing Colgate-Palmolive, with an average 2002 value share of 34 per cent.

According to HLL, it is committed to participating in the oral care market in India with two power brands, Pepsodent and Close-up.
