Hind Unilever Q3 net at Rs 408cr, to pay Rs 3/shr

Hindustan Unilever today reported a net profit of Rs 408.06 crore for the third quarter ended September 2007 as against Rs 520.74 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income for Q3CY07 increased to Rs 3,470.49 crore from Rs 3,162.82 crore in QQ2CY06.

'The results for the quarter are not comparable to the extent of amalgamation of Modern Foods (India) and its subsidiary with the company', the release added.

Further, the company's board have approved to pay Platinum Jubilee dividend to the shareholders of the company at the rate of Rs 3 per share, to commemorate the 75th year of the company.
