Hindalco Q2 net up 90%, income up 72%

Hindalco Industries today reported a 90.43% increase in net profit at Rs 597.6 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006 when compared with Rs 313.8 crore in Q2FY06.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased 72.41% to Rs 4745 crore from Rs 2752.1 crore in Q2FY06.
