Hindalco signs MoU for Rs 7,800cr unit

Hindalco Industries today signed a memorandum of understanding (Mou) with the state government of Jharkhand for setting up an aluminium smelter plant.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, the plant will have a  capacity of 3,25,000 tonne along with a captive power plant of 750 MW and captive coal mine.

The estimated project cost is about Rs 7,800 crore," the release added.
