Business process outsourcing firm Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) has said that its US subsidiary has entered into an agreement with Deloitte Consulting LLP and Deloitte Consulting Extended Business Services LLC to acquire the healthcare back office business of the consulting firm.
Though the size of the deal is not known, but the transaction is expected to result into incremental revenue of $11 million for HGS, the company said in a statement. The company plans to close this all cash transaction in early October.
The healthcare revenue cycle outsourcing business EBOS (Extended Business Office Solutions) of Deloitte comprises accounts receivable processing services and insurance eligibility verification services. It caters to several US hospitals and post this transaction, HGS's US subsidiary will have access to that customer base, it added.
HGS has significant presence in healthcare sector and the transaction will further strengthen its ability to deliver outsourcing services to hospitals/providers.
Post closure, it will be the third such acquisition by HGS in 2011-2012. Last August, HGS acquired two more companies including Mumbai-based HCCA Business Services Pvt Ltd and Canada’s customer relationship management company On-Line Support Inc.
