Hinduja TMT Q2 net at Rs 12cr

Hinduja TMT (HTMT) has posted a net profit of Rs 12.02 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 508.19 crore in Q2FY07.

Total income stood at Rs 18.85 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 775.80 crore recorded in the second quarter of the previous financial year, HTMT said in a statement to the BSE today.

The release added that the second quarter results of this financial year were not comparable with those of the corresponding previous quarter in view of the demerger of its IT and ITeS divisions. The demerger was effective March 7, 2007 with appointed date of October 1, 2006.

On a consolidated basis, the group posted a profit after minority interest of Rs 15.46 crore on a total income of Rs 64.28 crore in the reporting quarter.
