Hinduja TMT Q3 net up 37%

Hinduja TMT has reported a 37 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 22.55 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal as against Rs 16.51 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
 
The company posted a 54 per cent increase in total income at Rs 45.69 crore (Rs 29.61 crore). Revenue from its core business of information technology services grew 43 per cent at Rs 38.8 crore, while revenues from the media and telecom business grew 5.6 per cent.
 
The company's operating profit grew nearly 30 per cent at Rs 24.11 crore in the third quarter. The company did not pay anything in the way of interest and financial charges in the quarter ended December 31.
 
In the nine months ended December 31, total income grew 48 per cent at Rs 121.69 crore (Rs 82.34 crore). Net profit increased by 29 per cent to Rs 60.08 crore.
 
The company attributed the growth in revenue to a ramp up of business through acquisition of new clients offering high volume, high value business during the last quarter in the BPO space.
