In line with its plans towards establishing dominance in the insurance vertical within the BPO industry, Hinduja TMT has tied up with Fortune 50 insurance major to process the company's employee compensation claims. According to a release issued by Hinduja TMT to the BSE today, the company said that the pilot project, which has begun already, is expected to go live by early next month at its Bangalore centre. "With three large insurance clients, we are well on our way to become the undisputed leader in the global insurance BPO space," Partha Sarkar, CEO (IT and ITes), Hinduja TMT, said. In 2000, the company had started out with one insurance client and added another Fortune 150 insurance giant in 2003 for its insurance practices - increasing its headcount from 25 to over 1700 at present, many of whom are from India, Philippines and Mauritius. |
