Hindustan Copper Q3 Net down 9% to Rs 69 cr

The Kolkata-based firm had clocked a net profit of Rs 76 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal

State-run Hindustan Copper (HCL) today reported a nine% dip in its net profit for the October-December quarter at Rs 69 crore, mainly on account of increased expenses.
 
The Kolkata-based firm had clocked a net profit of Rs 76 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
 
The copper producer's total income from operations rose by 37% to Rs 427 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal compared to Rs 311 crore a year ago period.
 
Other income of the firm was recorded at Rs 17.46 crore during the quarter as against Rs 69.54 crore a year-ago.
 
 
Total expenses of the firm went up by 31% to Rs 353 crore form Rs 269 crore a year earlier.
 
The shares of the company closed at Rs 61.85 apiece, up 0.08 from the previous close on the BSE.
