The Mumbai-based ready-to-wear garments manufacturer, Hindustan Impex Private Ltd (HIPL) is on an expansion mode. The company has decided to open 16 more exclusive retail outlets by the end of the current fiscal year and also to increase its presence in another 50 multi-brand outlets across the country. |
At present, there are nine exclusive OOBE outlets in Noida, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and in Vadodara. The company also exports garments to the USA, Europe and the Middle East countries, which generates revenue of over Rs 40 crore. |
"Being a garments exporter, we understand and identify the trends well in advance. We started manufacturing designer corporate wear last year and are planning to launch men's garments in other cities soon," said Nilesh Mehta, managing director, Hindustan Impex, here today. |
The company is also planning to launch OOBE brand accessories such as belts, sunglasses, bags and caps and artificial jewelry in next six months. |
New stores will be expanded through franchisees. The company has already signed agreements with franchisees in Indore, Hyderabad, Noida and Lucknow. The Hindustan Impex will pump about Rs 1.5 crore for its expansion project. |
In view of opening more outlets in India, Hindustan Impex is planning to expand its production capacities in Mumbai and Silvassa. The company is planning to expand the capacity of the Mumbai production facility to 1,50,000 shirts from existing capacity of 1,00,000 shirts per month. |
The plan for Silvassa has not been finalised yet. Hindustan Impex produces sweater at its Silvassa plant. |
