Hindustan Motors, which manufactures the Ambassador car, today said it would review the prices of its cars in the next two months.

"We have already passed on some cost to consumers and the next 6-8 weeks are critical in terms of prices," Hindustan Motors Managing Director R Santhanam said on the sidelines of SIAM convention in New Delhi.

Input costs, including steel and rubber prices, have moved up significantly which is compelling auto manufacturers to pass on the burden to consumers, he said.
