Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.
Godrej Industries has presence in chemicals, estate management (real estate), finance & investments.
On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.
Patel Engineering's Managing Director Kavita Shirvaikar said, "Our focus remains on delivering long-term value for our stakeholders while continuously enhancing operational efficiency and output."

The Mumbai-based engineering, procurement, and construction firm has a strong presence in tunnels and underground works for hydroelectric and dam projects.

IndiGo expects to carry 112 million passengers in 2024 and is on the way to become a leading player in global aviation, its chief Pieter Elbers has said.
In 2023, the country's largest airline has flown over 100 million passengers.
India is one of the world's fastest-growing civil aviation markets and IndiGo, which has a domestic market share of 63.6 per cent, is also expanding its international network.
In a statement to PTI on the outlook for 2025, CEO Elbers said A321 XLRs will be arriving next year.
These narrow-body planes have a longer range and will help the airline to start longer-duration direct international flights.
IndiGo, flying for the last 18 years, has a fleet of over 400 aircraft and also placed an order for 30 wide body A350-900 widebodies.
"An airline so young expects to welcome over 112 million customers in 2024, after crossing the 100 million annual customers bar last year," Elbers said.

Car services and repair platform GoMechanic expects over three-fold rise in net revenue to Rs 700 crore by 2027 and thereafter go for public listing, a top official of the company said.
GoMechanic Co-Founder and CEO Himanshu Arora told PTI that the company at present has around 3 per cent market share and aims to raise it to 10 per cent in the next three years.
The company is also looking to diversify offerings, foraying into the two-wheeler and electric vehicle services segment.
"We sit at about 3 per cent of the market share right now and to be servicing every 1 car out of ten would be around 10 per cent by 2027. By 2027, we expect our brand to generate approximately Rs 700 crore in revenue. We believe that an IPO is a natural next step for GoMechanic's growth story," Arora said.
The company at present provides services through 800 garages across 125 cities and plans to scale up to 2,500 garages across 500 cities by 2027.

Hisense group, a China-based multinational appliance and electronics manufacturer, is in talks with Epack Durable to acquire a minority stake in a step-down subsidiary of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
In a clarification to bourses on Tuesday, Epack Durable Private Limited (EDPL) said it is in discussions with the Chinese manufacturer.
"We would like to inform you that business discussions are currently in the preliminary stage," said Epack Durable.
The Greater Noida-based company further said it will file the requisite disclosure in compliance with applicable laws when required.
According to Epack Durable, it is India's second-largest Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) of room air-conditioners based on the total number of indoor and outdoor units.
