Hindustan Zinc ranked 2nd by Hewitt Study 2009

Hindustan Zinc, a company of Vedanta Resource group in Zinc-Lead business has been ranked  2nd in the top 25 companies in the Hewitt Best Employers Study 2009.

The Hewitt study examined people management practices in India’s leading organizations, providing insights into how organizations can achieve a real competitive advantage through their people and explores what makes an organization a good place to work.

Hindustan Zinc is the world's second largest integrated zinc-lead producer. By 2010, company would also achieve its mission to produce one million tonne of metal thereby becoming the largest producer in the world, said a release from the company.

 

The jury of the Hewitt Best Employer Study 2009 comprised Nripendra Misra, former Chairman - Trai, Zia Mody, Managing Partner-AZB & Partners, Anand Mahadevan, Executive Editor, Outlook Business and Pankaj Chandra, Director, IIM-Bangalore.

About 230 companies from India, across 19 sectors participated in this study.
