HLL Q2 net up 15%

Hindustan Lever today reported a 15% increase in net profit at Rs 281.65 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2005 as against Rs 244.49 crore in Q2FY04.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 2,915.68 crore in Q2FY05 from Rs 2,641.90 crore in Q2FY04.

The board has cleared an interim dividend of 250% i.e Rs 2.50 per share of Re 1/- for the year ending December 31, 2005. "The dividend will be paid on August 24, 2005," the release added.
