HMIL sells 33,000 units of Grand within 90 days of its launch

The brand also ranks among the top 5 selling car brands

Hyundai Motors India Ltd today said it has sold 33,000 units of its compact car Grand within 90 days of its launch.

The second largest car maker in the country said it has received 'an overwhelming response' from the buyers of Grand, adding that the car has generated interest amidst the younger generation in metros and tier II cities.

"Over 33,000 units have already been delivered to happy customers across India in just 90 days of its national launch in September 2013," said Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) in a statement.

The brand also ranks among the top 5 selling car brands, it added.
 

Post launch of Grand, HMIL has witnessed over 124,000 footfalls at its dealerships and has recorded multiple enquires and test drive requests.

"Over 165,000 test drives have been facilitated to customers across India. Grand has generated high interest level amidst the younger generation in metros as well as tier II cities.

Commenting on it, HMIL Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing Rakesh Srivastava said: "Grand has created a benchmark in quality, features and technology offering higher value proposition in such a short span of time."

According to the company, the customers have appreciated its U2 CRDi diesel engine which is a combination of optimum performance along with high fuel efficiency of 24 kmpl.
