Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported 36% increase in total sales for September at 242,941 units.
The company's total sales stood at 178,462 units in the corresponding month of last year.
Motorcycle sales jumped by 60% to 113,379 units in September this year as against 71,018 units in the same month last year, HMSI said in a statement.
The company reported an increase of 21% in its scooter sales to 129,562 units from 107,444 units in September 2011, it added.
