A small delegation, including three senior directors along with latest products and technology, will be sent there. "We have taken a 54-sq m area at the fair to display our important products," M S Zahed, CMD of HMT today said.
HMT's display will include Trantor, a high-speed tractor, various ranges of smaller tractors including garden tractors and the latest designs of watches among others. The tractor, known for its speed and ruggedness, could be useful for defence forces in difficult terrain, Zahed said.
However, HMT will not be able display machine tools its area of expertise, since the Hannover fair does not permit this, said Zahed who will visit the fair as part of a 15-member Indian Institute of Production Engineers (IIPE) delegation.
Zahed, who is also the national chairman of IIPE, said IIPE's role will be to find synergies between IIPE and German professional bodies in the field of production and manufacturing technology and to upgrade skills.
